It’s finals week.
Whether you’re a college student, a retiree, or a toddler, (okay, maybe not toddler) you understand the pain of finals week. All you high schoolers out there, I have some bad news. You think finals week sucks now? Just wait until college. It only gets worse, my friends.
And I have it good this semester! I only have 2 finals, and I have 3 papers due. Papers are my thing, and I’m not a procrastinator, so I really shouldn’t be that stressed. Factor in Emily, my roommate/best friend. Monday night she says “I have a huge, huge paper to write!” I say, “by when?” and she says, “tomorrow.” The woman kills me. She has an EIGHT TO TWELVE PAGE PAPER due the next day, and she hasn’t started it! I could have a panic attack right now just thinking about it. I don’t know how she does it! Her procrastination stresses me out just as much as it stresses her out!
My computer is about to die so I’m going to have to end this beautifully written memoir of finals week 2013. But my reason for writing this was simple: to encourage all the other poor college kids out there struggling with finals. It’s almost over! And then, it’s Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year. So tonight, take a break from cramming, and watch White Christmas. Nothing could be more encouraging than Bing Crosby singing my fave Christmas tunes.
If that doesn’t do it for ya, check this out. It’s not exactly encouraging, but it’s true. And it will make you laugh. http://www.buzzfeed.com/megansweet57/the-harsh-truth-about-college-a0vf
