I write about life because life happens to everyone. Sometimes it’s messy and ugly and sometimes it’s beautiful. Whether it’s on this personal blog or for national women’s outlets, I share what is important to me in hopes that it resonates with others.
I started when I was 19, but the years just keep rollin’ by and I’m now a 24 year old adult and am married, so my last name is actually Glidden.
I’m a Senior Associate of Communications and Digital Media at the United Nations Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign, a global grassroots movement to end malaria. I run our social and digital platforms and work on campaign-wide strategic communications.
Before UNF, I worked for a repro health non-profit, where I created (and continued) partnerships with TV writers, producers, and executives, as well as magazine writers and publishers. I’ve been lucky enough to work with folks from Refinery29, Cosmopolitan, ESSENCE, Teen Mom, Bustle, NBC, Lifetime, TLC, and a whole host of other amazing places. It’s also why I know *all of the things* about birth control.
Other things you might need to know about me:
- Rick is my rockstar husband (!) as of July 1st.
- Gilmore Girls is a way of life.
- Any and all sarcasm is meant in a fun-loving way.
- I watch the Kardashians. I am emotionally invested in the Kardashians. Deal with it.
(Any and every opinion is 100% my own and not representative of UNF/Nothing But Nets.)
